It features the same tried and tested 373cc liquid-cooled engine used in the Duke 390.The single cylinder engine produces 43hp and 37Nm torque, with the best output at higher rpm ranges, with the mere dry weight of 158 Kg the engine is more than capable for highway cruising as well as tricky off road. This engine is paired with a 6 speed transmission with slipper clutch and quickshifter.
The bike features WP APEX 43 mm upside-down fork with enough travel(170mm) to tackle most of the tricky stuff and also give a comfortable ride. At the rear the bike features a mono shock setup which comes with 177mm of travel which adds to the ride quality of the bike. The BMW G310GS is the cheapest among the GS series which is the adventure lineup of the company, but don’t let the word ‘cheapest’ fool you as this is a very capable machine, on as well as off the road.As BMW is known for its reliability, refinement, performance and luxury this bike is no exception and a very reliable, comfortable and pack good amount of performance in it.
It features a tubular spaceframe or Trellis frame which provides it good structure while maintaining a low weight of 169.5 kg even after including full fuel and road ready condition. At the heart of the bike lies a 313 cc single cylinder engine pushing out 34hp and 28 Nm torque. The water cooled engine allows the bike to glide at highway speeds easily and provides enough torque for difficult off roads.The engine is mated to a 6 speed transmission giving the bike a top speed of 143 km/h .
At the front the BMW G310GS is equipped with an upside down fork with 180mm travel providing the bike with good stability. At the rear the bike is fitted with a mono shock with 180mm travel same as the front contributing to the good stability and accurate control of the bike. The disc breaks both at front as well as rear provide good breaking performance to the bike

The Royal Enfield Himalyan is the only adventure bike in the brand’s lineup at present. Royal Enfield brand holds a very good reputation in india and everyone knows the iconic sound of its engine. This bike is the cheapest adventure bike in india and to achieve this some corners have been cut .The build quality can not be considered as top of the class.
The Royal Enfield Himalyan features a Half-duplex split cradle frame which is mated with the tried and tested Royal Enfield 411cc four stroke engine with heaps of torque (32Nm), the engine produces 24.3bhp . The bike may feel little under powered on the highway when compared to the above two but it can easily cruise on highway speeds without any issues. On the other hand the offroad performance of the bike is exceptional in its class.
The bike is equipped with telescopic forks with 200mm of travel which is highest among the three bikes making it better for offroad conditions .At the rear the bike is fitted with a monoshock with 180mm of travel making it a very capable adventure bike. The bike comes with disc break at both the ends which are operated by a switchable dual channel ABS.
In conclusion Himalyan is a very capable bang for the buck bike which offers all the basic features and more for very relatively low price, the bike must be somewhere at the top of your consideration list.
